While gin will always be my preferred spirit, I couldn’t pass up trying out this small batch Rock Town Basil Vodka spotted in my favorite liquor shop today. The weather has been sweltering recently, and I wanted something to sip which wouldn’t feel bogged down and syrupy. I’m only half-kidding when I tell you I’ve lovingly named this the Redheaded Cocktease.
In a rocks glass layer:
- 4-5 cubes of ice
- Three fingers of basil vodka
- 1/4 cup muddled strawberries with their juices
- Chopped basil to taste
- Your preferred tonic water
